My lovely Javan Rhino keeping me company in London, and Badak coffee keeping me awake! ☕️ Gifts from our wonderful trip to Indonesia from some very special friends at @wwf_id and @badak.indonesia ❤️🙏🏾
Javan Rhinos are sometimes called the ‘Ghosts of the Forest’ as they are such rare and elusive creatures. But seeing their wallow (picture #1) was SO exciting. We are extremely grateful to the team who look us into TNUK (picture #2). The third pic, is a beautiful Javan Rhino in the wild, and the fourth… my sketch of me in my tent with a rhino strolling outside 😂
Be honest… did you know there are 5 species of rhinos?
And Indonesia is home to not one, but two - The Javan and the Sumatran (the Hairy rhinoceros!)
They are the smallest of the rhino species and live on islands called, you guessed it… Java and Sumatra 😉
Beautiful picture from @babyrhinorescueorg 🙏🏾
On #worldrhinoday2025 we were luckily enough to be invited to come to the Ministry of Forestry to attend the unveiling of the rhino statue made by the talented @gillieandmarcart and donated by @rhinosirf . We then were honoured to have an extremely productive meeting with the amazing Ministry team 🌳 @kemenhut
In September 2025 we were graciously invited to @btn_ujung_kulon park by @ardijabar 🩵🤍 Surrounded by water, the peninsula is spectacularly beautiful and home to many animals, alongside the majestic Javan Rhino. All work in harmony together to create this special jungle habitat. (Last slide: I’ve found my version of a wallow to bathe in!)
Hello 👋🏽 Nice to see you here. We are Edge Group Conservation and this is a beautiful Javan Rhino. Found in one place on earth 🌍 Ujung Kulon Park in Indonesia 🇮🇩 @btn_ujung_kulon - One of the five rhino species, they have one horn and love to wallow. 📸 @tobynotown
